A study to establish "Women\u27s welfare" : The necessity and significance of "Women\u27s welfare"

In this paper, I consider the necessity and significance of establishing "women\u27s welfare" as a field of social welfare. There are already some support programs for women\u27s problems in social welfare. However, they are so partial, temporary and restrictive that they are not sufficient to solve women\u27s problems completely. Moreover, the present systems of social welfare as a whole are premised on the gender division of labor. It is well known, that the gender division of labor is censured as the main cause of women\u27s problems. For that reason, social welfare cannot solve women\u27s problems as it is. On the contrary, there is a strong possibility that social welfare continues to reproduce women\u27s problems. In the present situation regarding women\u27s problems in social welfare, I suggest that we establish "women\u27s welfare" as the field in which we have a try to solve women\u27s problems in the following two ways. (1) Consultation/support activity on the basis of gender for individual concrete women\u27s problems.
